Nadine & Rich had their wedding at Notley Abbey in Haddenham. It’s one of my favourite wedding venues. I adore how the old and new balance so effortlessly, and that every nook and cranny is full of character. It’s a dream backdrop!

Rich and Nadine had the most beautiful summer’s day. Imagine big blue skies, fluffy white clouds, warm sunshine, birds singing, the river burbling, and the relaxing scent of lavender wafting up as I brushed past with my camera. It was a delight to spend a quiet hour just wandering around the grounds when I arrived, camera and coffee in hand, taking photos and soaking up the serene setting before anyone else arrived.

And the day just got better. There were lots of great moments all day long, from Rich’s tearful reaction as he opened his wedding gift from Nadine in the morning to putting serious effort into cutting through the cake in the evening! So it was a good job they chose my two photographer service as there was so much to capture!

With the exception of a few small group photos and some portraits of the two of them around the grounds, Rich and Nadine wanted to spend their day enjoying themselves. My documentary wedding photography is ideal for that. I spent most of the day blending into the background and capturing things just as they happened.

It was also a day full of chic and classic details – such a treat for my magpie eye! Sunny yellow ties, a fabulous floral arch over the front door, dinner beneath thousands of twinkling fairy lights, blousy blooms, glittering Choos … oh my!

Can I tempt you to read more about my wedding photography at Notley Abbey? I hope so! And if you like what you see, I’d love to hear from you!

But here’s the thing:

You need more than an incredible photographer to get wedding photos you love (though that helps!). You also need a day that’s totally you - the kind that makes your heart happy and infuses your photos with nothing but happy memories. That’s why I offer a holistic, thoughtful service to help you set the tone for photos that are as meaningful as they are beautiful.

Sound like your cuppa? Pop the kettle on and explore my little corner of the internet.

I hope this post was exactly what you needed.

If you tumbled down the Google rabbit hole and are wondering who I am or how you ended up here, let me introduce myself...

I’m Sarah Vivienne, a relaxed wedding photographer based in Northamptonshire (but I happily roam the UK for a good love story). I work with big-hearted couples who are planning countryside celebrations - where connection, not perfection, is the star of the show.

With nearly 20 years’ experience under my camera strap, I know a wedding isn’t about the photos. It’s about a day where you’re so immersed in the moment you forget the camera’s even there. My job? To bottle up all the timeless natural magic, so you can relive it forever.

Oh hey! Thanks for stopping by.
